-Depends on a number of factors, like the child’s age. My elder daughter was under two, when a dear friend from high school came to visit me. A single mother I wanted dearly to impress my high school chum (by the way, a very attractive single man.)

My friend picked the baby up, and began tossing her in the air … not high in the air, mind you. She giggled at first. Within moments, she shouted, “Put me down, God Damn it!”

The principle of the high school where I taught, told the same daughter what a pleasure it was to meet her. She replied, “I know!”

I love this kid!
